Who this is for — and not for
This spreadsheet is intended for homeowners who are comfortable working with basic spreadsheets and who want to better understand how their solar or solar-plus-battery system behaves over time. It is most useful for identifying trends, organizing monitoring data, and supporting informed discussions. It is not intended to provide real-time diagnostics, certify system performance, or determine warranty or contractual outcomes.
What this tool helps with
- organizing production, consumption, and export data
- comparing performance over time and across panels (where data is available)
- recognizing persistent patterns rather than isolated anomalies
- improving data completeness and consistency
What this tool does not do
- diagnose faults or failures
- replace professional inspection or advice
- prove compliance, non-compliance, or liability
Beta status
This is a beta release. The overall structure and logic are stable, but formatting, guidance text, and optional features may evolve based on practical use and feedback.
For background and how-to guidance, see: Solar Output Tracking Spreadsheet (Preview & Guide).
